Saint Louise Regional Hospital’s new De Paul Urgent Care Center is now open for the community

Gilroy, CA – (February 1, 2010) - With the welcoming of a new year, Saint Louise Regional Hospital is proud to announce the brand new De Paul Urgent Care Center is now open at the De Paul Health Center in Morgan Hill.

“We are pleased to extend our compassionate and high-quality services to the Morgan Hill and Gilroy communities,” said Joanne Allen, President and Chief Executive Officer. “When you are unable to see your primary care physician and don’t require a trip to the Emergency Department (ED), we are here to help you get back to your daily routine.”

De Paul Urgent Care Center is a walk-in, one-stop shop for premier health care. Appointments and walk-ins are welcomed. Most insurance will be accepted and extended business hours ensure convenience for patients, with urgent care services made available to the community on evenings and weekends. The center will be open seven days a week, Monday through Friday 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and on weekends from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Patients will receive treatments for acute illnesses and injuries which do not require an emergency room visit. The center’s comprehensive services will include treating common ailments, such as sprains or simple fractures, sore throat, respiratory infections, headaches and migraines, bruises, cuts, burns, bladder infections, fever, cold or flu symptoms, and other minor health conditions. Patients can also receive standard blood work, X-ray examinations, routine electrocardiogram (EKG) studies, urinalysis testing for pregnancy, and blood glucose tests.

“The De Paul Urgent Care Center will only see patients with non-emergent illnesses and injuries, therefore, patients will receive care in a more efficient manner,” said Scott Thompson, Director of Emergency and Critical Care. “Also, if a patient’s symptoms are identified as life threatening, we will arrange for quick transportation from the De Paul Urgent Care Center to the Emergency Room at Saint Louise.”

The De Paul Urgent Care Center can provide patients with timely, quality care from highly-qualified medical professionals they can trust. The experienced Urgent Care team consists of an ER physician, ER nurses, a radiology technician, and a registration clerk.

The De Paul Urgent Care Center is located at the De Paul Health Center at 18550 De Paul Drive, Suite 109 in Morgan Hill.
