Saint Louise Regional Hospital Provides Free Wireless Internet Access

Gilroy, CA – (August 3, 2009) - Saint Louise Regional Hospital has made wireless internet access available for patients and visitors from their rooms and in waiting areas around the hospital campus.

Patients and visitors at Saint Louise Regional Hospital can remain connected to family and friends, business, news and entertainment, while new parents can send newborn photos after their new baby arrives using Saint Louise's guest internet.

“We expect this to be a popular service and a good way to enhance the overall patient experience,” said Ivan Faranda, Information Technology site Manager at Saint Louise Regional Hospital. “We are thrilled to offer this benefit to help patients feel less isolated and more connected,” said Faranda.

The new network has the highest security standard and is segmented from the hospital network.  In no way will guest users be able to access the hospital data network, hospital information systems or confidential patient information.
